Stead Commercial Estates Ltd was founded by Andrew Stead in 1999. Andrew was a founding partner in Stead Robinson, a Charted Accountant practice in Shepley, Huddersfield. After being in practice for 20 years, aged 47 he decided to take semi-retirement from the practice to focus on his real passion which was construction.

Throughout his career he had always found the time and enjoyed buying land and buildings to undertake varying degrees of refurbishment and construction with the end desire of selling on or renting out. In 2000 during his semi-retirement he bought his first plot of land in Clayton West with the intention of developing it into Industrial premises for future tenants. Since this first foray the property portfolio has been extended and continues to grow as new opportunities arise.

In 2008 his daughter Victoria joined the company. Victoria obtained a Business Studies degree from Nottingham Trent. Victoria started working for the company on a part time basis and then decided to join her father on a full-time basis in 2009 to take care of day to day duties.

In 2011 Ben followed suit and joined the family business. He too obtained a Business Studies from Nottingham Trent University before completing a MSc in Project Management from Sheffield Hallam University in 2004. Having completed the MSc he then worked for Turner & Townsend as a project manager for 7 years gaining a great deal of experience working on a vast range of projects ranging from Listed Building refurbishments, office fit outs to new builds

Stead Commercial Estates is a family run business which was established over 10 years ago. It was formally known as Formforce Limited before rebranding in 2010 to incorporate the family name.

We have an extensive array of commercial and industrial premises suitable for start-up businesses or established operations. The premises we currently have range in size from 660sq ft up to 46,000 sq ft.

We are constantly looking for new opportunities to grow our portfolio whether through procurement of land or redevelopment of existing domestic, commercial or industrial premises. Please do not hesitate to contact us should you have or know of any potential opportunities.
