Lucy studied French and Spanish at the University of Westminster, including a year abroad in Bordeaux and Granada. After working for a London-based translation agency, she set up Parallel in 1997. In 2003 she relocated the business to Southampton, where she remains hands-on as Managing Director and sole proprietor.

Paul studied Scientific Illustration at S.I.H.E (now Southampton Solent University). Prior to joining Parallel, he spent 15 years in the recruitment industry, establishing and managing new divisions in the Facilities Management and Building Services sectors. Paul oversees all general operations, staff recruitment and welfare, as well as new business development. He has recently managed the design of our new website.
Lizzie graduated from the University of Southampton with a degree in German and Spanish Linguistic Studies, which included a year abroad spent teaching English in Murcia, Spain, followed by a month in Berlin helping to write and edit a travel guide about the city. She is keen to carry on learning languages, and is taking evening classes in Italian this autumn.
