Prior to the formation of Axis, Richard grew the breadth of his accountancy experience in practices in the North West, qualifying in 1999. He has successfully grown the Axis client base by referral, and giving clients good solid advice, on both accounts and business matters.
Richard says: “We’ve enjoyed working with many clients to help grow their businesses, whether it is assisting with Start ups, helping to grow Established businesses or ad hoc issues which arise from time to time. We are always looking at ways to help by trying to give relevant advice tailored to clients needs. Our own success is measured by the success of our clients.”
Graduating in 1989, Nick began training with Grant Thornton, where he quickly accumulated a wide knowledge of tax, before joining the Halifax group taxation department and qualifying as a Chartered Tax Adviser. He worked in his family business for 12 years before returning to accountancy and joining Axis in 2011, specialising in personal and corporate tax work.
Nick says: “Our aim is to help clients understand their tax affairs and the steps they can take to make savings. We do this by building lasting personal relationships.”
Vanessa says: “The most important part of my role is to help clients understand their financial position and ensure they are compliant with the relevant regulations, to take away that headache.”
