JOB DESCRIPTION We are looking for a skilled weaver to join our team. Successful candidates will support the production of high quality woollen and worsted cloth woven on Picnol and Smit looms.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Ensuring looms are weaving quality cloth and running at optimum efficiency • Achieving production targets • Following Standard Operating Prodecures (SOPs)and supporting the creation of SOPs when required • Implementing corrective and preventative actions to eliminate defects in fabric, using Lean tools and techniques • Demonstrating a good understanding of production operations including digital loom technology • Supplying supervisor with a note of faults, repairs and useful feedback • Good communication skills. Supporting and liaising with the team throughout the mill • Protecting own work environment, yourself and your colleagues by taking care of your equipment, ensuring your work station is maintained to the highest standard.
