I am director and senior partner here at MMP and I am responsible for the overall practice, though predominently I am based at our Ashford (Kent) office. As the designated audit partner, I oversee the firm’s audit clients, which means I get to be involved with many of our larger sized businesses.
As client manager to many of our smaller sized clients, this means that I oversee the activities of many of our smaller clients too, which gives me a much broader view of the firm’s activities than would normally be expected of a senior partner in a busy accountancy practice.

My role at MMP is director and finance partner (since 1999) having worked for more than 30 years in the accountancy profession. I manage both the Whitstable and Broadstairs offices and effectively deal with all administrative matters for the Practice. I work very closely with clients ensuring that all communications are dealt with promptly and effectively. My main strengths are understanding of client needs, together with the ability to converse with them from many different backgrounds, whether building subcontractors or managing directors of successful SME businesses.
Having joined MMP in 1998, I currently manage the Broadstairs office (which I helped to set up in 2008) and to work very closely with local clients and businesses. There is a great opportunity for business expansion in this area. I specialise in business startups and pride myself on being able to provide all clients with clear sound advice in all areas of their business together with continuing to provide the level of service they have come to expect.
As the Audit Manager for the firm, I am responsible for most of the audit planning, processes and field work for some of our largest clients, and ultimately ensuring compliance with the latest Financial Reporting and Auditing guidelines. I have a portfolio of other clients with whom I deal with on a day to day basis, covering sole traders to large organisations (those not necessarily requiring an audit). Although audit thresholds have increased in recent years, we still have regular enquiries for businesses wishing to have their accounts audited by MMP.
I look after the accounts and tax needs of a varied range of personal and business clients. Additionally, I specialise in QuickBooks accounting software, assisting clients with installation, training and utilising the software to its full potential. MMP is a member of the Quickbooks ProAdviser scheme and recognised supplier of the software.
