3CPD provides cost-effective continuing professional development (CPD) for chartered surveyors and others working in the property industry, primarily in the region covered by Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire. This is achieved by organising events throughout the year, during the day and evenings, covering the latest developments in law and practice across the main property disciplines.
3CPD Ltd (Three Counties Professional Development Ltd) was established in 1995 by the Berkshire, Buckinghamshire & Oxfordshire branch of the RICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) as a company limited by guarantee. When the branch was dissolved as part of RICS's Agenda for Change programme, the directors of 3CPD recognised the success of the organisation in delivering local CPD and decided to continue with 3CPD as a local focus for RICS activity in addition to providing CPD.
3CPD Ltd operates as a not-for-profit organisation, working to offer events throughout the region at a reasonable price through efficient administration. Any surplus is distributed as charitable donations within the property industry. In 2005, 3CPD received the Worshipful Company of Chartered Surveyors Endeavour Award in recognition of funds raised for Lionheart, the charity for RICS members and their families.
