We started organically in 1995, not with a dry business plan but through the personal obsession of the founders with natural health solutions. One of our founders was the first to introduce Klamath algae into the UK and European markets, and so when we started we were actually solely a green food company. Since leaving the Nutri Centre in 2008, she has worked independently as a nutritionist and concentrated her efforts in determining the role of diet and nutritional supplements in supporting people with cancer, heart disease and other serious pathologies. She has now joined the Academy of Natural Medicine at the College of Naturopathic Medicine. Recently, she had become a regular nutritional consultant for The Really Healthy Company, and she is happy to answer any technical questions customers might have on any of our products.

is harvested from the highly mineralized Upper Klamath Lake in Oregon, USA, using a unique floating harvester, engineered with state-of-the-art screening and refrigeration systems. The algae then undergoes a gentle cool-drying process to not only retain nutrient integrity, but also to concentrate its goodness by up to 20 times. Every batch of the cool-dried algae is tested for purity by an independent laboratory, and the Oregon Department of Agriculture has a representative in the Klamath area that also conducts spontaneous sampling to further ensure all products meet the standards of food hygiene. In addition, the product has been examined here in the UK, and approved as a food.
this form is perfect for adding to smoothies. While it can be an acquired taste mixed in just water, many also take it this way as it is more cost effective. (Better to start with capsules if new to the product.)
When first taking the product it is recommended to start with just one capsule or, if using powder, one third of a level teaspoon (½g), in a glass of water or juice on am empty stomach, preferably early in the day. Gradually build up to 2 capsules a day or two-thirds of a level teaspoon (1g) a day, or as advised by your healthcare practitioner.

Good-Gums is most effective when used as a toothpaste substitute, although some people still like to brush their teeth with traditional toothpaste first before then using Good-Gums. Although unnecessary, this is fine to do provided the mouth and toothbrush are rinsed before using Good-Gums as toothpaste gel can physically block the Good-Gums ingredients from coming in contact with the gums, which they need to do.
