Griffiths Hire Shops Ltd is the largest independent tool hire business in the Shropshire & North Wales area, trading for over 35 years. We have three outlets situated in Oswestry, Whitchurch and Wrexham, with the core of the business being tool, plant & powered access hire. We offer many other services & products including construction related training, repairs, servicing and sales of tools equipment , consumables & fixings. At Griffiths Hire shops we pride ourselves on customer service and were awarded the 'Passionate About Hire' award at the 2015 Hire Executive Show. We employ over thirty staff who have a vast range of knowledge of tools and equipment to offer friendly professional advice to our customers whether it is a construction, trade industry or D.I.Y related enquiry. We also offer a delivery and collection service.
We provide an outside repair service to our customers on branded tools and equipment that is familiar to us. WE DO NOT REPAIR UNKNOWN BRANDED ITEMS THAT ARE OF POOR QUALITY AND DIFFICULT TO OBTAIN SPARES. Customers that have purchased items from us are offered full backup service which includes free servicing, discount on repairs and free loans of a item should it fail during the warranty period. Our Oswestry shop has a dedicated department focusing on fixings and sealants. The Wrexham outlet has training facilities including a classroom which hosts various construction & access related training courses including IPAF and PASMA. For more info see TRAINING.
Griffiths Hire Shops is a family run business which started trading in Gobowen (near Oswestry) in 1980. The business was founded by Mr Chris Griffiths who had experience in the construction & plant industry for many years and realised there was a need for a tool hire outlet in the near area. The business became successful and Chris soon opened another outlet in Whitchurch followed by a further outlet in Wrexham in 1990. The Wrexham shop was moved to a purpose built premises in the mid 1990's. Another shop was opened on the Oswestry Industrial estate in the early 1990's which was then amalgamated with the Gobowen shop with a new premises & head office being built on the Maes-Y -Clawdd estate in Oswestry in 2000. We continue to expand our range of equipment, products and services.
