Between 1988 and 1993 Colt Security Systems (then named Colt Alarms), established itself in the domestic market through repeated recommendations and Police recognition; providing high quality installations at a competitive price, the commercial market shortly followed.
NACOSS recognition was gained in November 1995, with continual growth “Colt Alarms” changed its name to Colt Security Systems. As “Security Systems” reflected its varied system designs, incorporating access control and intruder Police monitored system and CCTV Systems.
In 1998 Colt Security Systems moved to its first commercial premises off Billericay High Street; this to cope with the success and rapid expansion.
By this stage, insurance companies together with Police forces throughout the country acknowledged Colt Security Systems as a recognised installer. This was further reinforced when in 2002 achieved the certificate of Quality Assurance having met the requirements of BS EN ISO 2002 and SSQ 101.
2003, saw Colt Security Systems presented with the NSI NACOSS Gold certificate. This after being accessed in the following scope: The Design, Installation & Maintenance of Electronic Security Systems inc. Access Control, CCTV & Intruder Alarm Systems.
2011, saw further expansion with the purchase of the Home & Business Security Services in Basildon, Essex (another NACOSS accredited security company). This further strengthened Colt Security Systems presence in Essex.
To date, the now directors of Colt Security Systems Ltd still play an active role within the company, upholding its excellent reputation, something money can’t buy.

A full and detailed specification will then be sent to you. This pack will contain the details of the protection that will best suit you. Enclosed in this pack will be product leaflets showing the equipment that will be used in your security system – this information is also available in our “User Guides” section. The specification will contain all the information needed by your Insurance Company should they be involved in your requirement for security.
Once sent, your Surveyor will contact you to confirm the specification has been received. If you have any queries or would like to change any details of your security system, your Surveyor will be able to advise you accordingly. We will also take this opportunity to get your feedback on the specification - whether good, bad or indifferent – so we can continue to improve our service to customers. These services are free of charge and without any obligation – we do not use salespeople.
