About Sentek
Sentek was established in 1991, specifically to manufacture a comprehensive range of electrochemical sensors for both laboratory and industrial applications.
Products include pH, Reference Electrodes, Steam Sterilisable, Autoclavable pH Electrodes, Metal Electrodes (ORP), Conductivity Cells, Ion Selective Electrodes, Temperature Probes and Dissolved Oxygen.
In 1994 the Company acquired a new factory in Braintree, Essex with improved manufacturing and administration facilities. Sentek has an active on-site research and development laboratory and can offer advice on many unusual or difficult applications.
To meet the demands of an expanding market place, Sentek opened a further Production Unit in Fife, Scotland in the early part of 2000, and this has grown to 11 people, with the scope for even further expansion should it be necessary. The overall size of the Company, together with its turnover, has tripled since the end of 1998.
In 2008, it was found that the increase in business, mainly due to a big expansion with OEM customers, had put us in a position where we were running out of production space. To overcome this problem, Sentek acquired the building next to the current Factory, and this should enable further expansion for some time to come. Our manufacturing programme is flexible enough for us to supply probes to suit virtually every meter on the market.
Sentek pride themselves on their Quality to customers around the world, so in January 1997, Sentek achieved ISO 9002 approved from British Standards Institute, for the Manufacture of electrochemical sensors – Certificate No. FM 36099, and have since achieved BS EN ISO 9001:2000 standard, and recently achieved the ISO 9001:2008 standard.
The Company is committed to improving our products and service and continue to launch new products to the market to meet customers demands.
However, the biggest success for SENTEK is their willingness, and flexibility to provide probes to customer design. A large percentage of the business is producing probes for manufacturers of pH, Conductivity, and DO2 meters, some of whom are the largest in the business world wide; A further percentage is producing specifically to a customer’s design.
Whether it be a different plug, longer probe, longer cable, different colour cap, or a name other than SENTEK on the probe, we can and will do it to satisfy a customers wishes.
We continually strive to meet the diverse requests of our customers. The safety of our customers is a priority when using our products and as such we provide continual education and customer support free of charge.
