Nick Reed & Tony Rundle founded Couch Consulting Engineers in 1993. Their aim was to build and develop an engineering practice with the flexibility to recognise and respond to the commercial competitive future facing the industry. In 2014, five new directors were appointed to the Board to ensure the company’s continued success and growth.

We are committed to maintaining our standards of excellence. We invest heavily in our IT and we use state of the art 3D structural design packages.

We were appointed to provide full Structural and Civils design for the new Research Centre at the University of Birmingham. This £13m project will provide a specialised research facility with a mixture of offices, technical laboratories, industrial space and ancillary facilities.

Our latest project for JCB which involved the production of a new CAB's factory in Uttoxeter. The 34,000 sqm facility will provide a large open production area under a multi-bay portal framed roof enabling seamless design, production and testing of the Cab units manufactured by JCB.
