Born into a family of retailers, Howard has always put customer satisfaction first. With a degree in economics he started his working life in supermarketing before moving to building societies. Having developed strong branch businesses against heavyweight competition he quickly progressed to a senior management role where he was responsible for the design and delivery of several innovative financial products. Many of these were adopted by scores of building societies and ultimately used by millions of consumers.
Now a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Bankers, in 1991, in the depths of a recession, Howard opened the franchised Derby office of the country’s largest commercial finance brokerage. Again he built up a strong following within the professional community and helped well over a thousand businesses to find finance.
