We invest heavily in safety through people, processes and equipment and have created a culture that empowers our people across all levels in the business to place their safety, and that of their colleagues, at the forefront of all priorities. This systematic approach helps control risk, reduce costs and improves our reputation, demonstrated by fewer days lost to injury. Our SHEQ Manager audits all sites monthly using our RAG Report system. We are CHAS approved, meaning for those companies that recognise this accreditation, they will not need to carry out any form of Health and Safety certification on us. To demonstrate how seriously we take safe working practices, our staff repeatedly win awards on sites with Bovis Lend Lease, Carillion and Laing O’Rourke.
Recognising the impact of construction on the environment, we are tackling issues such as resource protection and climate change head on. We have set performance targets and are working with our supply chain, clients and the FIS to create environmental solutions. Our overall approach is guided by our Environmental Management System, part of our IMS, and this is certified to the ISO 14001 standard.
We have a comprehensive quality assurance programme, driven from the top down and overseen by our SHEQ Manager, ensuring we are devoted to company-wide quality assurance and standards in the product we build and the way it is delivered.
