About Ceramatech & History
Ceramatech was started as a business in 1988, in the old Laser Kilns factory. In 1990 Ceramatech moved to Frontier Works, in North London - for those with long memories, it was the year the Football World Cup was played in Italy ~ 'Italia '90'. It was also the year Mrs Thatcher resigned from No.10, & when the French & English sides of the Channel Tunnel met in the middle!.
A range of Clays, Glazes, Underglazes, Tools & Equipment was stocked, many of which are still currently available from us today.Early in 1989 we started to Import the Botz range of glazes & colours from Germany (at that time, still West Germany!) We were the first in the UK to sell Botz, which were only available in the Earthenware range. We now offer the full range of Botz glazes in all the available sizes. The current Botz catalogue is 'Print 7', availble free from us.(More about Botz elsewhere).
