Frank Ward Limited

Frank Ward Ltd. has been operating in Deal, Kent, since 1987. Its main clients are private collectors and other wine merchants. Almost all of our wines are French and quite a few are vinous rarities.

All are tasted and selected by Frank Ward. They are shipped directly from the producers’ cellars, either to the Octavian bonded warehouse in Wiltshire (regarded as the best in Britain) or to our own dark, cool 18th-century smugglers’ cellars in Kent. This is why any wine bought from us reaches you in mint condition. Sad to say, all too many wines are shockingly badly treated and the sight of sometimes precious bottles standing upright in warm stores, in the full blaze of daylight, is all too common.

We operate as wholesale merchants, selling by the case only. But these may be mixed and you don’t have to be in the trade: anybody can buy from us who accepts purchasing by the full case (12 bottles, 24 halves, or six magnums).

As small but buoyant wine merchants we do not accept credit cards. Payment by cheque or bank transfer only. Please fax or mail us your order and we will invoice you by return. (If there is a delay, this is because we are away tasting wines abroad!).
