Summit Equipment Supplies is based on the Clover Nook Industrial Estate in the small Derbyshire town of Somercotes.
John Parkinson established Summit Equipment Supplies in 1979 after spending 20 years working on the sales side of the plant industry.
During this time John recognised the need for ancillary hydraulic equipment and attachments to improve the versatility and efficiency of plant equipment. He was then the first person to import Montabert hydraulic hammers to the UK. His vision materialised when he founded Summit and the UKs first dedicated mobile plant company was born.
The product development side of the business expanded rapidly and Summit became the pioneers of hydraulic attachment development, a field which it still leads today.
