Parklane Textiles Ltd was started in 1986 by Brian Nelson and Sylvia Childs.
Brian had been working as General Manager at a large weft knitting company in Bolton for the previous 5 years having been in weft knitting since graduating from Loughborough University in 1970.
The company then operated from offices in Kearsley Nr Bolton.
Sylvia Childs retired from the business in 1997 and at that point the company moved its base to Burnley,the company now being owned by Brian and his wife Sandra.
David Lancaster joined the business in 1999 from having managed a dyeing and finishing company.
David now looks after the day to day managing of the business.
95% of our production is UK manufactured in the knitting plant in Leicester,a recognised centre for the weft knitting industry,where we can tap into the wealth of local experience in the industry.
The factory maintains the highest standards of quality appreciation and efficiency in order to produce quality product at a commercially viable cost.
Over the past 25 years hospital/care home mattresses and certain furniture products have evolved to into highly technical product which require a safe,easy cleaning system without compromising on patient comfort.
Parklane Textiles Ltd have been producing 100% cotton fabrics used for Flame retard barrier fabrics in aircraft seating for 20 years, during this time,the requirements for the fabric have become more demanding.
Parklane Textiles Ltd have been producing 100% cotton Fabrics flame retard treated for use in military products for over 20 years. We have partnerships with approved Military defence working closely in manufacturing fabrics for protection.
Parklane Textiles Ltd have been working closely with UK manufacturing for the specialist sportswear markets. We are producing various fabrics manufactured for specific end uses within ths market. Including fabric treatments using Anti microbial,anti bacteria & fluorocarbon treatments.
