Ivor Richards OBE is our Managing Director. Ivor is a civil engineer with nearly 50 years experience in all manner of construction and reclamation projects. He was bestowed an OBE in 1994 for services to civil engineering. In 2013 he was Master of the Worshipful Company of Water Conservators, a livery company in the City of London.

Director and Company Secretary, leading our team on slope stabilisation and bioengineering is David Richards. David has not only been involved in the design and implementation of slope stability projects but also in our research programme undertaken into the engineering properties of willow. David would be pleased to hear from you and advise on whether or not a bioengineering solution would be appropriate for your site.

Andrew Sumner is our Principal Landscape Architect, and experienced Environmental Coordinator on large Highways projects and leads our historic landscapes team. His work for the Irish Government has been awarded Landscape Institute and Europa Nostra awards. He continues to work on sensitive projects for developers and provide advice and act as expert witness at planning enquiries.

Shan's interest in the town and country planning process began during her first degree, and she subsequently qualified with a Masters in Civic Design from Liverpool University. The majority of Shan's professional life as a Chartered Planner for over 20 years has been in local authority planning work, where she has dealt with a wide range of clients and project proposals as well as the production of guidance documents.

A graduate in Product Design Rob is our resident artist and responsible for website design and content as well as taking on a large amount of the CAD work for skatepark design, Bioengineering designs and highways projects. Rob (otherwise known as Ponty) is a enthusiastic Steve Irwin replacement carrying out reptile surveys and Dormouse mitigation and monitoring.

Eleri Pughe is an Administrative Assistant and will be familiar to those who call the office regularly. Eleri carries out many financial and administrative tasks and makes sure we are all well catered for when hard at work with plenty of hot tea.

Idris, our resident Neolithic Caveman, has the role of Senior Ranter and Problem Solver. Before joining the RML team his preferred method for solving problems was with the use of his club.
