Founded in 1983, Activity Island Limited has been organising highly successful educational visits for KS2 children [and below] exclusively to the Isle of Wight for over 30 years.
We take pride in the excellent service we provide to our clients, some of whom have been with us for fifteen years and more, with many even asking to return to the same hotel each year.
We offer a fully-inclusive, bespoke service. We are not 'tied' to any particular attraction or activity provider. Our clients tell us what they would like to do on the island [and indeed on the mainland whilst they are travelling from/to school], and we organise it for them. It really is as simple as that.
We have excellent working relationships with all of the major attractions and activity providers on the island, meaning that when you book through Activity Island Limited, you will be expected and welcomed at each and every one of your chosen venues.
We organise and book everything for you: hotel, coach transport; ferry crossings, places of interest and activities [daytime and evening], and we provide pupil materials and teaching packs - with risk assessments appropriate for your chosen itinerary.
We know the geography of the island. Wherever possible, we will always book your visits and activities in such a way as to avoid having the children sat for long periods on the coach. We are also well aware of the unpredictable nature of our British weather, and with that in mind we will do our level best to ensure that you have the right mix of outdoor and indoor visits.
It is a rich resource - of great benefit to children - helping to meet many National Curriculum requirements.
If you are unfamiliar with the Isle of Wight, we will help you with your itinerary in line with your precise requirements under the National Curriculum. Not only will we book this for you but, unlike other operators, we will make payment of your entrance fees in advance of your visit, to ensure that you are expected and welcomed wherever you go, and eliminating the need for you to make individual payments on arrival.
We provide all relevant teaching material in accordance with your chosen itinerary, and also pupil workpacks which contain related worksheets, project diary and a project diary.
Free teacher places are at a ratio of one free teacher for every eight paying pupils, but we are flexible on this. Should you require more adult places, an additional charge will be made. Equally, should you require less, an allowance will be given. In any event, the exact number of staff places you require will be clearly marked on your itinerary.
