Company Background

Established in 1936, Walter Cottrell, the founder of the company ran the business with a single van. Ernie Perez started as an apprentice to Walter Cottrell in the early 1950's and in 1958 bought the business on a gentleman's agreement from Wally, which was formalised some years later. From these humble beginnings, Ernie has developed the company into the reputable electrical contracting company in the Merseyside area. Whilst enduring some difficult times the company now boasts a fleet of 30 vehicles and over 40 staff with a management team comprising of Mr Perez's three sons who are directors of the company.

Also offering 24-hour emergency cover 365 days a year throughout the North West area. Out of our normal office working hours ( 08.00 - 18.00hrs ) telephone services are automatically diverted to our engineers who can provide you with the service you require, or answer any queries you may have.

Established 1936 family run company, Cottrell Electrical Services undertake all aspects of electrical installation and maintenance throughout the north west from small domestic upgrades to industrial refits. We also undertake contract maintenance work, servicing housing associations and local authorities.
