The company Bill Moore Lifting Tackle Ltd was formed in 1980 by Mr F.W Moore & Mrs W.F Moore, both previously having been in the lifting tackle business for twenty years. Mr Moore having trained as a chain maker & then becoming test superintendent, first for E.A & H Sandford, & then the Medway Sling Company.
The business was formed to carry out the supply, manufacture, repair, test, inspection & hire of lifting equipment. This includes safety equipment, chain, wire rope, fibre rope, webbing & ancillary equipment, however over the years, we have also become involved in specialist areas such as fabrication work, training, and health and safety legislation.
Bill Moore Lifting Tackle has worked for most industries including nuclear, public utilities, construction, engineering, leisure, transport, caravans, theatre, farming & forestry & has wide experience in all these fields.
The company employs 8 people all with specialist skills & maintains good stocks of equipment, the capability to assess & design specialist equipment to suit many tasks, and offering bespoke solutions to many customers, who want a non standard product.
