Making and fitting
The business was started by Mr Allan Upsher in 1976, at Johnsons Yard in Seal before moving to its present site in Sevenoaks, so having many years of experience. We continue to be a family business with Allan’s son Colin now running the business with his wife Carol who both joined soon after Allan first set up the business. We now have a third generation with Colin’s son Craig now taking a major part in the family business.
Colin and Craig mainly do the fitting of blinds/shutters/awnings, poles/tracks and hanging the curtains. Carol runs the show rooms dealing with the clients as well as main cushion maker/machinist. Chris is our head curtain maker, trained by Jo, our previous curtain head, so maintaining the quality of work. Richard, who is our main upholsterer, having been in the upholstery business since he left school, with many years of experience in this specialised trade.
