Croston Engineering was established in 1976 by Mr Alf Croston, a Chartered and Mechanical Engineer. Well-known and respected for his many years experience in the design and building of bulk storage handling and process plants initially, but not exclusively, for the food production, animal feed and pet food industries.
He was joined by colleagues with whom he had previously worked, and the demand for the company’s services expanded into the handling of powdered and granular materials for a wide range of industries throughout the UK and Ireland. He was joined later by his son Roger who is now a Director and Senior Engineer within the company.
Croston Engineering is based at Tarvin Mill, near the village of Tarvin, five miles from Chester. This listed mill building, has been the headquarters for Croston Engineering since formation.
