Since then Dean has taken the company forward and the company has completed many jobs in Sussex and Surrey, even venturing as far afield as Guildford.
The company only has a small employee base with sub contractors used for utilities and such aspects as plastering, but the work is still completed on time and with high quality.
Dean draws up plans for those that wish to have them done by the company and soon the company will be moving onto computer aided design (CAD) to bring greater depth to the planning.
The future aim is to carry on as present by delivering high quality at all times and with Anthony Shaw working alongside his father in the company the Shaw name will be around for a long time to come.
T D Shaw ltd was formed by my father, Trevor Shaw, in November 1972. I joined the company as a fulltime employee in July 1978 after gaining a National Diploma in Building management. During my teenage years I also worked alongside my father, gaining experience, during the school holidays.
After my father passed away in 1985 I took over the running of the company and was assisted by the guidance of trusted sub-contractors. To date, some of these sub-contractors are still with us after also having moved on a generation.
We work mainly on residential jobs from alterations and renovations to extensions ranging from single storey to two storey extensions that wrap around the existing property. We are able to design and apply for planning for the clients and where accepted for the work will see this planning right through to completion. We have done some work on a commercial basis and do not limit our fields of work, within reasonable limits.
We are a well established building company in the South East of England and we hope this site is useful and look forward to hearing from you;
