We pride ourselves on being the first company to source and import carnations from Colombia for wholesale distribution in the UK. South America still remains a very important part of our business and solid relationships have grown and flourished since those early days, but we also continue to develop connections with growers in most flower producing regions of the world. Because of this we can now provide a tailor-made, extensive product range to meet our customers' individual requirements.
With the aid of market research, we will always strive to be one step ahead of our competitors, offering the highest quality products and service, but also sampling new and better products to keep our customers a cut above the rest.
We are a dedicated team who embrace technology, a modern style of management and a flexible approach to new ideas. Our philosophy has always been to treat staff, customers and suppliers as part of this unique family. We have a very simple code of conduct within our company, which is 'service with integrity'. Our activities are governed by loyalty to customers and growers and provision of a first class service. We remain true to these core values whilst engaging the challenges of the 21
The history of The Page Group can be traced to the middle of the last century, when Matthew Page a grower decided to sell his own products in Covent Garden. His sons, John and Edward Page continued to develop the sales side of their father's business until, in the 1920s, Carlo Naef married Edward Page's daughter and was taken into the company. Since then it has developed beyond Matthew Page's wildest dreams. In 1981 Carlo Naef's grandson, Patrick Hackett, joined the company and was personally trained by Carlo Naef until he took over the running of the Group as Managing director. He quickly proved himself a worthy successor and it was evident that he would be another force in the flower industry. Patrick's untimely death in 1992 forced Carlo Naef to look once again to his family for support and he appointed his nephew, Giorgio Naef, as vice chairman.
