The company was founded in 1968 by current company Chairman, Anthony Whitehead, as a traditional weaving operation manufacturing narrow-loom Axminster carpets.
We have invested heavily in plant and equipment during the past 10 to 15 years, enhancing and expanding our product portfolio to provide added value for our customers.
The foundation of Newhey’s success is our customer focus, and we work closely with contractors, specifiers and end users to understand their requirements and provide the ideal flooring solution for any installation. Anthony Whitehead, currently company chairman, forms the company in 1968 and commences weaving traditional Axminster carpets.
To add to their already versatile production capabilities their first 1/8th gauge Graphics Tufted Machine.
10 years after the first machine was installed Newhey commission their 4th and the latest Colortec machines in operation globally.
