ABOUT JACK BRUNSDON & SON LIMITED

For the decorative finish on products supplied factory finished, the Jack Brunsdon & Son warranty shall be 8 years for paint finished items and 5 years for stain finished items from the date of delivery, in normal use and moderate weather conditions, and where care and maintenance as per this document has been carried out satisfactorily.

Jack Brunsdon was a master craftsman with a passion for making things from wood.  He turned his hand to many varied forms of joinery, including deck chairs, toboggans and even the rear timber body work of the Morris Traveller estate motor car before finally settling on the crafting of high quality windows and doors.  His exacting legacy continues today.

Jack Brunsdon opened his first workshop back in the 1940s, producing everything from staircases to furniture and cabinets, but times were hard and the best of British entrepreneurship was required to survive.  The snowy winter of 1941 saw Jack diversify into toboggan manufacture, whilst the hot summer of 1947 found the firm turning out deckchairs based on a concept he had spotted in the South of France.

In the 50s, when Morris Motors scaled up production of the Morris Traveller, Jack had a spell making the iconic ash frames for the rear timber bodywork of this famous wood-framed estate.  And in 1959, he was even commissioned to build the famous ‘Swingometer’ which featured on the BBC’s coverage of that year’s general election!

Over time the production of high quality windows and doors became Jack’s signature craft and these were installed in universities, banks, church buildings, public houses and prestige homes throughout the region.  In 1964, sensing an opportunity in the emerging glass technologies pioneered by Pilkingtons, Jack formally incorporated a specialist window business.  And for over fifty years the business has carried on the tradition of making and installing fine quality windows and doors.  Jack’s values of quality, craftsmanship and integrity have been firmly upheld and the company has grown by repute to become one of the most regarded glazing firms in the country.

Today, Jack Brunsdon & Son still has its headquarters in Oxford with a flagship store at Blenheim Palace Sawmills, just a stone’s throw from beautiful Blenheim Park, where Jack sold his toboggans to the gathered crowds in the early forties. Three further showrooms are located throughout Buckinghamshire, Middlesex and Surrey where customers can inspect, first hand, the quality of the firm’s work.

More recently, Jack Brunsdon was acquired by renowned Swedish firm, Inwido, Europe’s leading supplier of wooden windows and doors.  Still locally managed and retaining its commitment to quality and service the acquisition will enable further investment in product development, ensuring it becomes firmly established as the UK’s number one brand.

The Jack Brunsdon & Son reputation is founded on three core values – heritage, craftsmanship and quality.  It’s a proud reputation which the firm has built on over the past five decades.  And it offers a 10-year workmanship guarantee on every installation of handcrafted windows and doors as well as further market-leading guarantees on everything, from paint to hardware and ironmongery.

The company’s remarkable range of artisan-crafted wooden windows, produced using only the finest materials and finishes, caters for every character and style of property.  There are intelligent solutions to deal with double or triple sashes and sash box bays and common throughout the range is an attention to detail.  There is also an extensive range of colours, styles, ironmongery and glazing.

The firm is passionate about doing a great job, providing its customers with a personal and bespoke service.  The highly skilled installers, many of which have worked for the business for over 10 years, take immense pride in their work, adhering to a consistent set of carefully monitored and controlled procedures.  Dubbed the ‘Jack Brunsdon Way’, it’s a modus operandi for every part of the process from the moment they arrive to the time they leave a client’s home.  At the end of a job, customers are asked to vote on how well the company did and the results of this feedback are delivered in real time to members of the company.

Our Installers are trained to high standards and observe strict guidelines when fitting products, installation teams are prepared with a fitting pack and check every product and check each aperture the products are going in to before commencing installation.

Our JB Way is to minimize use of trims both internally and externally favouring a “like for like” finishes approach using traditional materials which help to maintain the aesthetics and integrity of your property. Although your bespoke windows and doors have been tailor made in the factory for you there may be some adjustments needed achieve the best possible fit on site.

Products will be thoroughly cleaned, all areas inside and outside of the installation area will be returned as found.

Our installation team will demonstrate the function of the products, locks and hinges clearly explained.

We like to take photos of the installed products for our internal records only. However, please do indicate to us if we are able to use these for marketing purposes, so we can tell your story.

When all your questions have been answered we will ask you to sign to confirm the installation is complete, the final payment will then become due to close the contract and we can then issue your guarantees as well as FENSA certification

We are proud of our products and our installations however on the occasion where something does go wrong or your unhappy at any stage of the project please do call our customer service team who will look to resolve or answer any queries as quickly as possible.
