Alan Browne Gauges is a UKAS calibration laboratory (Lab No 0155) and is accredited in accordance with ISO/IEC 17025:2005 offering a manufacturing, calibration, replacement, measurement, servicing and repair facility. Inaugurated in Leamington Spa in 1962 by the founder Alan Browne, with its permanent on site temperature controlled calibration laboratory, it quickly grew to become one of the most highly regarded laboratories in the world.
Its international reputation and track record for calibration, Interferometry and measurement goes back over 50 years. With more than 850 active customers it can help your company maintain its own high standards of accuracy, measurement, and traceability. Alan Browne Gauges is also a full member of the high profile Gauge and Toolmakers Association (GTMA).

Alan Browne Gauges are a long established company specialising in the precise and quality-minded field of gauge blocks, providing a broad range of services including gauge block production, calibration and precision flat lapping. Having developed strong links over many years, the company offers a high quality service to a varied selection of customers from different industry sectors, from defence, aerospace and automotive to metrology and precision engineering sectors. Operating in worldwide markets as both a manufacturer and as a UKAS accredited calibration laboratory for gauge blocks, Alan Browne Gauges have worked with a number of prestigious clients such as Rolls Royce and The National Physical Laboratory.
With over 50 years of experience in calibration, the company's expertise has been particularly confirmed in the supply of Grade K gauge blocks for the use as reference standards by calibration laboratories across the world. Gauge blocks manufactured by Alan Browne Gauges carry the trade name "DuraGrade steel gauge blocks" to express their exceptionally high wear-resistance and their built in wear allowance.

Alan Browne is located at Blackdown Mill between Leamington Spa and Kenilworth in Warwickshire. Our building is around one mile north of Leamington Spa on the A452 (Kenilworth Road). Take Hill Wootton Road (signposted for Hill Wootton and Leek Wootton). As you turn into Hill Wootton Road we are in the building directly on your left with the wrought iron gates.
