Metalbor
was founded in 1946, at a time when Sheffield UK tool manufacturing, although highly regarded world wide, had the character of a cottage industry, with hundreds of small companies manufacturing small volumes of specialist cutting tools. Most of these companies no longer exist, having been absorbed by very much larger multinationals, but Metalbor remains independent, and has grown over the years into a significant brand, by successfully responding to ever more rigorous demands for higher quality tools, and ever more efficient customer service.
products are still made in two factories in Sheffield, UK, and still rely to a surprisingly large extent upon the knowledge and skills of the old craftsmen, but now working alongside, and complementing, even newer machine technologies, materials, and better quality-control disciplines.
are made from the Metalbor HQ and export warehouse in South West London, utilising a network of distributors, many of whom have been associated with trubor products for many years.
