Boswell Bros History. Boswell Bros (Salisbury) Ltd is a local family business based in Ford, Salisbury dealing in a wide array of building materials and garden DIY products.

Its founding members Ken and Ernest Boswell began selling and delivering Firewood and. logs in 1932. They were later joined by Ted Boswell their younger brother who invested his savings into the fledgling business so that as a company they were able to diversify into the supply of Sand and Gravels as well as the on site manufacture of Breeze and Concrete blocks a few years later. In 1939 the companies first Truck was purchased, the beginning of Boswells ever-expanding fleet of HGV vehicles. In 1942 the company was officially incorporated.

Concrete Blocks were made at the company HQ until 1983 when a decision by the new Directors to expand the business required the space used by the block manufacturing for a new DIY yard. The building of the new yard was completed in 1986 and the current shape of Boswells yard is as you see it today, storing a vast array of Slabs, Bricks, Blocks, Fencing, Pre-Packed materials and numerous other products that can help enhance your garden or help with your next building project.

The company have always welcomed Trade and Retail customers and the helpful staff will always welcome you.

In 1994 John Boswell retired, Eddie and Sue Boswell purchased his shares and became the outright owners of the Company. Under their leadership the company has expanded and developed, with the help of an excellent staff, into Salisbury’s premier Independent Trade and Retail Building Material and DIY supplier.
